 2 units, both did not last for more than 60 days. Feedback from other owners greatly appreciated.Sep 07, 2008
I bought the bundled package from costco.com. The bundle includes 2 mics and the 2221 song cartridge. Very happy I purchased from Costco because of their return policy! Costco places the order to leadsinger who in term drop ships the item to me, the purchaser.
The first one I received did not even work. I returned it to Costco and ordered another one, hoping that the first one was a fluke.
Received the second one. The wireless submic would work intermittently. It would work only after I take the batteries in and out. Minor inconveince because the kids loved playing with it. I even purchased 3 additional chips for the unit.
It is now 54 days after I have received the unit. The sound has suddenly stopped. Just video, no sound. It also decided to turn on or off when it feels like it. Sometimes it turns on, sometimes it doesn't.
Costco, here I come again.
I am really hoping that my two units were the exception. Therefore I would appreciate if other owners can advise on the durability of their units. I want to buy another one because the kids like to play with it, but...
Just think: If I had bought this off the leadsinger website, would their return policy be as easy as Costco???

I've tried to call the company and get some technical assistance and have been VERY frustrated- hold times of 20 minutes or more and no answers to my questions. The website is also very unclear about how to order more karaoke mp3s.

This karaoke microphone is outstanding. Everyone from the little kids to the seniors were using it on Christmas. The 300 songs that come with it are a nice variety. Ignore the reviews that whine that the music isn't good - the music is fine.

Fun- just don't expect great quality soundAug 03, 2007
This is a great fun product that can really add to an evening or party. If you are looking to hear the same music and arrangements used in the originals songs, unfortunately you will be still singing to a much poorer midi version. (Everything sounds kind of soft and synthy. But if you are not particular and just want to sing and have a good time. This is a great affordable portable way to Karaoke your heart away.

I got this from Price Club last summer, and i loved it! I wish I hadnt lost it though, when my friend and I were using it to be pretend news anchors. It has a Song Book where you pick a song and then you put in the code of the song into your microphone (there is a number pad). Some of the songs are out-of-date though, but there are some recent songs too, like Sk8rboi (i never sang it, but I saw it in the song book after i lost the mic, darn)
i think this item is GREAT for singing pre-teens & teens
Today, I went to target and bought a Leadsinger plug-in microphone similar to this one, along with a tween cartridge.
