5very impressed...great valueJan 02, 2009
I'm very pleased with these headphones. In my research I came across some comments about poor bass response. What I learned is that the drivers in these headphones are the same technology Shure uses in their high end models. They require a "break-in" time before they open up to their full potential. It's takes only a few hours of listening, or, in my case, I just turned on the music and let them sit for an afternoon. [Shure talks about this on their website] I was initially disappointed when I first plugged them in, too. BUT...8 hours later, they're stinking fabulous! [I had the same experience with a high-end set of studio headphones.] I listen to Bach, 60's rock and acoustic guitar music and am very pleased.

4they are good, but not greatDec 28, 2008
The sound and build quality is great, and the fit is good. They are a bit large so they don't look that good when wearing them. The problem i have is that they tend to fall out when I am jogging, this is because they are somewhat heavy and when you sweat they slip out, i did not have this problem with the earphones that came with my ipod. If you are not jogging with them, i would highly recommend them.

5Fantastic HeadphonesDec 05, 2008
What a great set of headphones, honestly.

I've been through many different in-ear headphones lately, starting with the ipod headphones, then the in-ear apple headphones, various sony models and a pricey etymotic set and I have to say that these are the best pair for the price that I've paid.

I listen to a wide array of music, from folky Bob Dylan, to punk and hardcore and much "classical" music and these performed very well in all of the above categories. These are also phenomenal for most pop must of today and plenty of hip hop and rap. The bass may not be as deep as others may like, but you definitely get what you pay for - in this case, deep bass with a great audio range.

Pros:
These headphones carry a great mid-range section and allowed me to pick up nuances in songs that I have heard time and time over again. The high range is better than I anticipated after having read some reviews, and it performed much better than ALL of the previously stated headphones. The bass was substantial for me, but it really depends on what you prefer. It was not too deep, nor was it too shallow.
You can pick these headphones up well below list price on amazon and they are much better headphones than the new apple in-ear headphones. Head over to engadget, cnet or gizmodo to read about how these headphones size-up against other, more expensive and comparably priced headphones

The noise isolation on this set is also phenomenal. They come packed with 3 sets of foam and 3 silicone sleeve headphone covers. The foam covers are fantastic, they block out all unwanted outside noise and let you be alone with your music, despite noisy surroundings.

Cons:
The cord for the headphones is somewhat short, but it does come with an extension wire which you will almost always have to use in case you like to have your mp3 player in your pocket.

The price ($99.99) is justified for a great pro/high quality entry level set of headphones. They are fantastic and you will notice a new world of sounds when you switch to these from a low quality iPod headset.

If you have any concerns or questions, please respond and I will get back to you as soon as possible

4Great for the price ($76 on Amazon)Sep 23, 2008
These headphones are great for the cost (again, I spent $75 on Amazon.com) and I'm happy with the decision. They produce a cleaner, crisper sound than the V-Moda Vibes and Skull Candy isn't even in the same league.

The people who complained about a "tinny" sound or no bass, did NOT have them in correctly. I can't emphasize the importance of proper insertion enough. It's a bit difficult at first to properly insert them, but if you follow the included diagram, and get a good seal (included foam tips are the best), It quickly becomes second nature getting them in and out after the first few tries. the sound is tough to beat in this price range. I can't turn the volume more than 3/4 the way up on my iphone because the sound is too loud. The highs are good, and the bass (especially with the volume higher) is more than good enough for rock, hip-hop, electronic, etc; as well as the classics.

As far as comfort, they're impressive; especially when considering that these are larger than some of the competitors (Jays, V-Moda, Skull Candy, ER, etc). I've fallen asleep with them still in (and i don't do that easily) and I can run with them or bike with them. The important thing (again) is proper insertion, AND put the cord over your ear (they're designed to be used this way). It's easy to get used to, it's not hard to do, and you CAN use them without doing this, but they fall out easier.

They are certainly durable. The hard plastic and thicker cord make it tough to tangle and tough to break. mine have taken some abuse and survived.

The bottom line is that these are a good quality headphone for someone looking for an upgrade over their stock packaged headphones. If you're an audiophile looking for perfect sound at a lower price, these are probably not for you, the SE 210s from Shure (about $70 more from amazon) are probably a better bet as are the 2nd step up, Etymonic Research pair.

I'm quite happy with the performance at the price, and i think most people will be if they follow the instructions and use them properly.

4Great, but not to take in/out frequentlyApr 28, 2008
These sound great with the expanding foam inserts. They block out sound really well. So much so that you can't use them and function if someone wants to talk to you sporadically. They stay put really well, better than any others I've tried. Really good for workouts, loop around ears, to give extra assurance against accidental pull out. I found myself going back to $10 Sony's for everyday use, so I can hear around them a little bit. I would buy them again, though.
